Fortune Magazine continues to lead among magazines in its milieu (Forbes and BusinessWeek), 78 years after it was founded by Henry Luce in 1930.  The magazine belongs to the Time Incorporated’s Fortune/Money Group which produces Time, Sports Illustrated and of course, Fortune Magazine.

Fortune Magazine’s founding is evident of the genius and foresight of Luce  who started the magazine just months after the crash of Wall Street and to the disagreement of his partner Briton Hadden.

The first issue of Fortune Magazine only cost $1. How time flies.
