At this time when most people are on the go, a much lighter and easy to carry laptop (with stress on AFFORDABILITY) is the thing for most people and PC Magazine featured this emerging need as well as the new breed of laptops that supports that need.

PC Magazine talks about netbooks or what they prefer to call Low Cost PCs or LCPCs. The present superstar in that category is the ASUS Eee PC. It is uber small and lightweight at only 2.2 pounds and 8.9 inches.

The ASUS Eee PC has a 20GB storage capacity, 1GB RAM, runs on Intel Celeron M 373 processor with a speed of 900 MHz and makes use of the Xandros Linux operating system.

PC Magazine admits to having laughed at this LCPCs before but is now convinced that there is an emerging market for this gadget.
