Stuff Magazine Shows Favorite Micro Machines

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

magazine3.jpg

Stuff Magazine shows its readers why you do not need to hang around with larger laptops when you can make do with ultramobile PCs (some of it are actually phones) that are not only small, travel-friendly and reliant. But since Stuff Magazine still doubts the reliant part, it sent some of its staff on the field and they were asked to report back using what else but the tiny machines.

On top of Stuff Magazine’s list is Nokia N810 which costs $480. This is a slider phone with a slide-out keyboard, compatible with Skype and GPS with a 2GB memory which you can expand to 8GB, 400MHz processor and a battery life of 4 hours. But like most of its tribe, the small keyboard is difficult for serious typists.

Next in Stuff Magazine’s list is the Fujitsu U810 which costs $999. This notebook has a swivel touchscreen with Vista OS. It boasts of a RAM of 1GB, Intel 800 MHz processor and a 5 hour battery life.

The Asus Eee PC which costs $400 is a common sight already even in thrid world countries. It’s so compact you can place it inside a lady’s bag. It has a Linux OS with Mobile Intel Celeron processor, 4GB storage and a battery life of 3.31 hours.

Now you can take your pick but thank Stuff Magazine first.

Fortune Magazine Zeroes In On McCain And Obama’s Green Platform

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

While US Presidential candidates John McCaina nd Barrack Obama differ in their proposed financial policies, Fortune Magazine zeroes in on one issue where both are united and that’s paving the way for a greener and safer environment.

Fortune Magazine reported that both candidates agree to regulate carbon emissions by enacting a carbon cap and trade law to force industries to reduce carbon emissions. The said cap is envisioned to be lowered each year and this is where Obama and McCaind differ.

While McCain favors a 60% carbon dioxide output level by 2050 based on the 1990 levels, Obama wants to lower emissions by 80% by that year. While this is favorable to the environment, this is expected to create a toll on the economy considering that reducing greenhouse gases can lead to a rise in the prices of energy as an add on to the money that will be spent by industries for a cleaner and greener technology.

At a time when gas prices are pumping at $4 per gallon on the average, both McCain and Obama might want to rethink their percentages.

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

magazine14.jpg

So what makes David Beckham hot? Aside from the fact that he spends time with his son watching baseball games, Cosmopolitan Magazine finds him hot because his 5-storey billboard in Macy’s at San Francisco wearing nothing but briefs is so damn hot.

And who would not sweat from the heat generated by this soccer superstar’s vision in Armani briefs? Cosmopolitan admits handsdown that Beckham is indeed an alpha male with all the qualities that women want.

So what sets this British-accente guy apart from the many other guys with great bods as well? Well, for one, they are not married to Victoria Beckham. His marriage to this slim and tiny fashionista has not diminished his animal appeal but has in fact strengthened it.
