Fortune Magazine Reports On The Yuan Gaining Ground Vs Dollar

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

The United States economy has got a flu and the symptoms are being seen worldwide specifically in China.  Fortune Magazine recently reported that the Chinese Yuan is gaining ground over the US greenback.

fortune1.jpgFortune Magazine reports that the Yuan has so far gained 4.5% versus the dollar for the year 2008.  This is said to be the lowest level since 1994 and the Yuan is expected to gain more in the next months.

But is this good for the Chinese economy?  Those relying on exports and who earn in dollars will definitely say no.

Fortune Magazine Still Going Strong After 78 Years

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

Fortune Magazine continues to lead among magazines in its milieu (Forbes and BusinessWeek), 78 years after it was founded by Henry Luce in 1930.  The magazine belongs to the Time Incorporated’s Fortune/Money Group which produces Time, Sports Illustrated and of course, Fortune Magazine.

Fortune Magazine’s founding is evident of the genius and foresight of Luce  who started the magazine just months after the crash of Wall Street and to the disagreement of his partner Briton Hadden.

The first issue of Fortune Magazine only cost $1. How time flies.

The entire staff at fortune Magazine has talent and skill to spare, but Stanley makes me laugh.
